Claudette Pace was born on the 8th of February 1968. In her studies Claudette specialized in Theatre, Entertainment and Communications. Claudette took up voice training in Berlin. Claudette has always been very active in theatre, starting from her school years. She has performed regularly and has also had singing roles in Christmas Pantomimes , which strengthened her interest in music. Claudette has become a very well known TV personality. She has produced and presented some of the most popular TV shows. Thanks to her production company, Max Media Entertainment,she has also, together with her friends and work colleagues, her television station. Claudette Pace's musical career has been very active. She regularly participates in local and international song festivals. Since 1993 she has placed well and has won various prestigious awards. Claudette was nominated for best female singer in all the editions of the Malta Music Awards and in 1998 her CD 'Beginnings' was nominated for best CD. In 1995 Claudette Pace won the award for Best Female Artist. Today Claudette Pace performs regularly. Jazz remains her greatest satisfaction. But the year 2000 seems to be the golden year for Claudette Pace. After winning the prestigious Malta Song for Europe Festival on January 15th, she will be performing as a singer in several countries around the world including Germany (at Cap Sounds Studios - Frankfurt), Sweden (at the Eurovision Song Contest) and her long-time dream AUSTRALIA.

Gerard James Borg expresses his artistic talents in more ways than one. He designs on glass, does fashion design, writes lyrics, and has also done some photo modelling after winning a "Winning Smile" contest in Germany. His next goal? Writing a novel. His work has been featured in many local magazines, and also internationally. At the age of 24 one of his designs appeared on the front cover of a renown international fashion publication making him the first Maltese designer to achieve international recognition at such a young age. Gerard started writing songs pretty recently and Shades of Blue and Breathless (written for Claudette Pace, with music by Philip Vella) became successful instantly. One of his goals was to write a song and have it represent Malta in the Eurovision song contest. So he put pen to paper and created Desire, which went on to win the local finals…. And made another dream true!

C O M P O S E R  :  P H I L I P   V E L L A

Philip Vella is one of the most famed and talented composers in Malta. He has been nominated several times as Best Composer for the Malta Music Awards, and won the Best Recording Engineer award. In May 1997 he was the backing guitarist for Malta's entry in the Eurovision Song Contest held in Ireland. Philip has written many successful songs some of which have taken part in major festivals in England, Italy, Bulgaria and Australia. Songs he wrote have been selected for the Malta Song for Europe finals for eight consecutive years…. Until this year he came up with the brilliant rhythmic sounds for his winning entry Desire….. which swept the board at the local finals. Besides being an established artist, and a sound engineer owning his own recording studio, Philip is also a certified avionics engineer with our National airline Airmalta.
